Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Institute of Environmental Management & Studies (IEMS) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use this learning platform.
Information we collect
- Account details from Google Sign-In (name, email address).
- Application details you provide (personal information, contact details, educational qualification, address, and identity details).
- Documents you upload as part of your application.
- Academic and administrative records (attendance, marks, enrolment, and payment status).
How we use your information
We use your information solely to operate the institute's admission, enrolment, attendance, examination, and fee-collection processes, and to send you related notifications (for example, admission updates, payment reminders, and result announcements).
Payments
Fee payments are processed by our banking partner's secure payment gateway. We do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank credentials on our servers — those are handled directly by the payment gateway. We store only the payment status, amount, and a transaction reference for record-keeping and receipts.
Data storage & processors
Records are stored on managed cloud infrastructure. Uploaded documents are stored in secured object storage and served only via time-limited, signed links. We use reputable third-party processors for database hosting, file storage, and transactional email; these providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with our payment gateway to process fees, and where required by law.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to the institute's record-keeping obligations, by contacting us via the Contact Us page.
